Philadelphia PA Basement Waterproofing publishes general information for homeowners in Philadelphia, PA and nearby Pennsylvania townships and operates only as a free referral service. It is not a waterproofing company. It has no Pennsylvania home improvement contractor registration, no contractor license from the City of Philadelphia and no plumbing or other trade license.
Nothing on these pages is legal, insurance, engineering or tax advice. Cost figures carry their source and year, and national figures say so. Only a contractor who has seen the basement can give you a real price, and it should come in writing.
Rules on permits, sewers, registration and licensing change over time. Where a page summarizes material from the City of Philadelphia, the Philadelphia Water Department, a township or the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, confirm it with that office before acting on it. This site acts on its own; no public agency endorses it, funds it or partners with it.
Rainfall and flood details are credited to the National Weather Service or a named news outlet and are given as background only.
The cost calculator and wet-basement checker give rough, general results. They cannot see your basement and do not diagnose anything.
Contractors who receive requests are independent businesses. The site does not stand behind them and accepts no responsibility for their estimates, workmanship or conduct. The site may be supported by advertising paid for by contractors; homeowners are never charged and receive nothing. On insurance, sewer backups are often left out of a homeowners policy unless an endorsement was added, and seepage frequently is too; your policy and your insurer or agent have the answer.
